My story

Why I made TinyGuide

A mum of four

I am a mum of four beautiful children. Being a parent has taught me more than any book ever could — about patience, resilience, and the quiet strength it takes to show up every day, even when you are exhausted.

One of my children has Down syndrome (Trisomy 21). Watching them learn and grow in their own wonderful way has reshaped how I see milestones. Progress is not a race; it is a collection of tiny victories that deserve to be celebrated.

NICU days

We have spent time in the NICU — those long days where the beeps of machines become the background to your whole world. I know what it feels like to watch a tiny baby fight, to live by feeding schedules and tube checks, and to carry home a mixture of joy and fear.

That experience is part of why I wanted to create clear, gentle guides for parents who find themselves in similar situations. You are not expected to know everything overnight.

Helping little ones hit their first milestones

Over the years I have supported my children through first smiles, first feeds, first steps, and first words. Some milestones arrived quickly, and others took more time, love, and professional support. Every single one mattered.

I hope TinyGuide helps you feel a little less alone and a little more confident as you walk this path with your own baby.

Carrying loss

I have also lost two babies. Grief does not have a tidy timeline, and it is okay to hold joy and sorrow in the same heart. If you are here after a loss, I am so sorry. Please be gentle with yourself.

"There is no such thing as a small milestone when love is the measure."

Every baby's journey is different. Yours is worth celebrating exactly as it is.
